Aromatic crispy duck pancakes

Perfect for any dinner party, or as a special treat.

  • Ingredience needed:
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice wine
  • 1 tbsp Chinese five-spice powder
  • Cucumber, spring onions, pancakes, hoi sin sauce.
  • Method

    1. Heat the oven to 150C/fan 130C/gas 2. Mix the marinade ingredients in a bowl. trim or pull away any fat from the inside of the duck, then prick all over with a skewer. Put on a rack over a large roasting tin and pour over a kettle full of boiling water. Discard the water, then put the duck back on its rack and tray and cook for 2 hours.(learn more)
    2. Turn up the oven to 190C/fan 170C/gas 5 and roast the duck for 10 minutes, then brush with the marinade and cook for another 10 minutes. Brush again and put back for 5-10 minutes until glazed.
    3. Shred the duck and leave to one side
    4. Shred the cucumber and spring onion.
    5. Lay out the pancakes drizzle with hoi sin sauce
    6. Top with the duck, cucumber and spring oven and wrap
    7. yum yum enjoy .
